Local wool fleeces for sale

Farmers and Ranchers here in Yellowstone county rarely get a chance to get into town every week to mail out packages of wool fleeces for handspinners. I have agreed to list some of their wool fleeces, and mail them out. In all cases, the wool fleeces listed below have been skirted. At Annabel's, members of Prairie Handspinners will spend the afternoon at her place skirting and buying wool fleeces.

Annabel in Fromberg is known for her flock of Romney sheep. We spinners here in Billings love using her wool fleece to spin up yarn for socks. Most Romney wool is consided on the coarse side - not her's. It is very light and lofty; wonderful elasticity. Perfect handspun yarn for socks.
